Witchling Wanderer: 2017 Books I Am Dying For: Contemporary Edition

It's been so long since I've posted that I miss blogging. My reading slump got worse for the second half of last year that I sort of just crashed and didn't really read. Though I tried picking up books and that's my main reason for not posting anything.

But it's a brand new year and I feel like I can just start all over.

There's so many debuts, sequels, and last books in a series that I'm completely excited for. I want them now! But there were so many so I've separated them into two categories: contemporary and fantasy.

Without further ado, here are my most anticipated contemporaries for 2017...

The Girl Out Of Water by Laura Silverman

I've heard the love interest Lincoln is so swoon worthy. I'm all here for that ;)
I've seen nothing but positive things about it.

When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon

A laugh-out-loud, heartfelt YA romantic comedy, told in alternating perspectives, about two Indian-American teens whose parents have arranged for them to be married.

Dimple Shah has it all figured out. With graduation behind her, she’s more than ready for a break from her family, from Mamma’s inexplicable obsession with her finding the “Ideal Indian Husband.” Ugh. Dimple knows they must respect her principles on some level, though. Rishi Patel is a hopeless romantic. So when his parents tell him that his future wife will be attending the same summer program as him—wherein he’ll have to woo her—he’s totally on board. Because as silly as it sounds to most people in his life, Rishi wants to be arranged, believes in the power of tradition, stability, and being a part of something much bigger than himself.

The Shahs and Patels didn’t mean to start turning the wheels on this “suggested arrangement” so early in their children’s lives, but when they noticed them both gravitate toward the same summer program, they figured, Why not?

Dimple and Rishi may think they have each other figured out. But when opposites clash, love works hard to prove itself in the most unexpected ways.

This is seriously high on my most wanted TBR list.
It just sounds like it will be cute fluffy contemporary read!!

American Street by Ibi Zoboi

The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas

Releases February 28

I read the excerpt when the cover was revealed and I almost cried so that speaks volume just how amazing and emotional this book is going to be.
The acronym. I love it!!
This will probably be one of the most important books of this year (MUST READ).
It's already being turned into a film!!

The Education of Margo Sanchez by Lilliam Rivera

Ronit & Jamil by Pamela L. Laskin
