April Wrap Up

For some reason, April has been the slowest reading month for me. For one week, I didn't pick up a book!! I could have read more than I what did. But I was still in a reading slump. It was so bad that I even considered just taking a break from reading. But then I picked up a book and I found myself loving it!! But then it got annoying halfway through. I'm still glad it got me to enjoy reading again. I'm kind of disappointed that I didn't read all the books I wanted to this month.

The Amazon Marketplace: The Good and The Bad

This is like the Beauty and the Beast. What a weird comparison!!

I've no clue why on Earth I decided to write about this. It's just something I came to realize now that I am a blogger.

Back when I was just a reader, I had no freaking clue what arcs (Advanced Reading Copies) were. And I'm sure I wasn't the only one. Now I've seen people selling arcs even though it's illegal!! It always happens on Ebay and I also heard about someone selling them on their Instagram account.

Legend has it that there is a way to end the conflict once and for all: find the Firebird, a mythical entity believed to possess power the likes of which the world has never seen. It will be no easy task, but if life as a thief has taught Echo anything, it's how to hunt down

Shadowhunters TV Show Casting News!!

I think I've just had a change of heart for The Mortal Instruments movie! I just watched it as it aired on TV and I loved it. Back when I saw it in theaters, I was bored out of my mind. Too late for this since the movie flopped and they're making a TV show named Shadowhunters on ABC Family. And not to mention that they just found the actor to play the role of Jace Wayland.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the show and I hope it does the books justice. I've personally never read the books and so I can't judge the movie and compare it to the books. But I liked it! I heard

Day 1: Julia Donnelly eggs my house my first night back in Star Lake, and that’s how I know everyone still remembers everything—how I destroyed my relationship with Patrick the night everything happened with his brother, Gabe. How I wrecked their whole family. Now I’m serving out my summer like a jail sentence: Just ninety-nine days till I can leave for college, and be done.
Day 4: A nasty note on my windshield makes it clear Julia isn’t finished. I’m expecting a fight when someone taps me on the shoulder, but it’s just Gabe, home from college and actually happy to see me. “For what it’s worth, Molly Barlow,” he says, “I’m really glad you’re back.”

MOVIEW REVIEW: Fifty Shades of Grey

Fifty Shades of Grey

NOTE: Just because I watched and enjoyed the movie does not mean I support rape.  Some people criticizing others and that is not okay. This film is not abuse. Ana is 23 and Christian is 26. They are not underage and Ana gives Christian her consent. BDSM is a lifestyle and this actually happens in real life.

This was a movie that I was really anticipating ever since I found out that it was being turned into a film. I was really curious about who would be cast and if they would choose the right actors that would rightfully portray Ana and Christian. It was a bit shocking because at first they had cast someone before Jamie to play Christian and I hated that male actor. He didn't look like how I had envisioned Christian. But then Jamie was cast and I thought he was perfect.

The choice that I was really nervous about though was Dakota playing Ana. I just thought she looked so much older and I didn't think I would like her. But I ended up being impressed by her portrayal. Both actors did a wonderful job bringing their characters to life and

How to request ARCS

When I first heard about arcs, I started researching how on Earth to receive them because I had no clue. I think it all started when I requested a publicist and she told me the book was listed on Netgalley. But of course back then I didn't have one so she redirected me there and I created an account. After that, I started looking up emails to contact the publishers directly. And now after almost two years of blogging, I want to use my knowledge that I picked up along the way to help some bloggers that are just starting out!!

Let's start with what an arc even is...

Not only is she dealing with that not so un-frustrating problem, she now has been informed that because of that little drop of werewolf blood in her she is now required to attended a multi-pack gathering for un-mated wolves. This type of gathering hasn't taken place in over a century but with a shortage of females among the werewolf population the males are getting worried they won't ever find their true mates. Meanwhile Decebel struggles with the emotions he is feeling towards Jen. He tries to keep his distance but there is just something about the mouthy blonde that keeps him coming back for more of her verbal abuse that he just can't seem to get enough of...go figure.

My TBR Thursday

Last month was really crappy with my reading. I only read 5 books!! I'm trying to challenge myself and read 11 arcs that I have. It's a bit unrealistic but I will try my hardest. I honestly just want to finish reading all the advanced reading copies that I have so that I can finally get to all the finished copies that I have. I just have way too many books that I really want to start and it's hard choosing!

I hope that my reading slump goes away. This is causing me to not want to pick up the books and really enjoy them. I'm praying that it won't be the case for some of these books. I desperately want to
love them especially The Cage and The Wrath and The Dawn. They sound really intriguing...

March Wrap Up

March wasn't really my best reading time period. I was in such a reading slump. I just haven't read the perfect book. I read ACOTAR and An Ember In The Ashes and they were sooo GOOD. No other book has met my expectations like they did. I did find some interesting books but they aren't that memorable.

On the good side, I haven't broken my book buying ban!! It's been getting
