Despite her superhuman strength and enhanced senses, Della Tsang's life as a vampire certainly hasn't been easy. Especially since she was reborn and bound to the mysterious, infuriating, and gorgeous Chase Tallman.

But if there's one thing that's always kept Della going, it's her dream of being an elite paranormal investigator. Her newest case is the opportunity she's been waiting for, but as Della tries to solve the twenty year old murder and clear
her father's name. She uncovers secrets about the vampire council. And about Chase.

Feeling betrayed by all the secrets he's kept hidden from her, Della is determined to keep him as far away from her heart as she can. But she'll need his help to solve the case that will lead them into the darkest and ugliest vampire gangs in town and into the scariest reaches of her heart.

*Thanks so much to St. Martin's Press for providing me with a copy in an exchange an honest review.*

The Shadow Falls series has been one of my absolute favorite series ever!! I always enjoy reading about Della, Kylie, Miranda, and every other character in the story. But I sadly couldn't connect with the story this time around.

I was not invested in the whole 'Della trying to clear her dad's name' plot line. As I was seeing old characters pop up like Lucas and Kylie, I was wishing for more time with them. I know Della is the main character but when she was a side character in Kylie's series, we got to see lots of the side characters in that series.

The love triangle was made out to be like a big part of the book and that Della had a tough decision to make. But it was completely clear who Della was going to pick! The guy that didn't end up with Della wasn't even in the majority of the book. And I felt like it was poor way with how it was resolved. I won't say who my favorite guy is because that would just spoil the book.

Like I sad previously, I really enjoyed seeing the old characters. But I felt like they weren't given much time unlike in the original Shadow Falls. That was a tad disappointing. Especially since this is the last book in the series. I felt like there was no closure. Not one last scene with all the characters together. I wish there could have at least been some type of epilogue where the characters are shown in the future or something. Even Miranda's love story was never resolved.

Overall, Unspoken was enjoyable to read about but it failed to leave a burning memory. But I think fans of the entire Shadow Fall series will love to read to know how the whole story wraps up. I also think lots of paranormal readers will really enjoy reading about Della's spunky and badass personality so I would recommend it!
