My Need For Truthwitch In My Life!

Warning: There is going to be a lot of fangirling and flailing in this post. You know, I might not make lots of sense. And I might have gone overboard with gifs. Also the pictures in the collages were taken from Susan's Truthwitch Pinterest board.

Ever since I heard of Truthwitch, I've been really excited for it. But when I saw the cover, I was blown away. I know that it's going to be such a badass series!

And I wanted to talk about the many reasons why I'm also DYING to be part of the street team for Truthwitch!!!

SEXY PIRATES!!

I love me some epic fantasy and Susan Dennard is such a sweet author so I can't wait to get my hands on this book. And I've been getting obsessed with pirates lately like I'm going to start the Pirate Of The Caribbean movies and the Black Sails show. I also added some books to my TBR that are about pirates. And Truthwitch also has a sexy pirate named Merik!!

Is it too soon to say I'm in love?!

Well too bad. He's going to be my new book boyfriend. And we will soon be sailing off into the sunset on his ship.

I mean LOOK AT HIM!

Holy hotness!! He's also a prince and captain of a ship. And I'm just dying over here. (It's getting hot in here. Literally 'cause it's like 80 degrees. But also 'cause of Merik ;)

Two Females That Kick Butt!

I also want to read about the two main characters Safiya and Iseult's friendship. I'm always in the mood for badass females that can kick ass and wield a sword. And the funny thing about that is that I've been picturing Susan Dennard as Safiya and Sarah J. Maas as Iseult since they are also BFFs in real life.

The Romance!

I really hope there's some Merik shirtless scenes as well as some kissing or more ;) Not sure how much romance there will be in this but I can't wait to see how it goes because I love nothing more than an epic fantasy with some fierce romance!!

The Witch Quiz

I also find it exciting that there will be some type of quiz to see what type of witch we are. The people selected for the street team will be taking it and from the results, they will be put into groups. And I believe they will be competing with each other.

It just sounds like so much fun. And I'd like to meet other people that are enthusiastic for Truthwitch as well as be part of a group that will promote this because I love helping authors out. This just seems like it will be a blast!!

There's lots of fantasy creatures like the creepy Sea Fox!

That Sea Fox scares the bejesus out of me!! I would never want to go out to sea unless Merik was there to protect me.

On a continent ruled by three empires, some are born with a “witchery”, a magical skill that sets them apart from others.
In the Witchlands, there are almost as many types of magic as there are ways to get in trouble—as two desperate young women know all too well.
Safiya is a Truthwitch, able to discern truth from lie. It’s a powerful magic that many would kill to have on their side, especially amongst the nobility to which Safi was born. So Safi must keep her gift hidden, lest she be used as a pawn in the struggle between empires.
Iseult, a Threadwitch, can see the invisible ties that bind and entangle the lives around her—but she cannot see the bonds that touch her own heart. Her unlikely friendship with Safi has taken her from life as an outcast into one of reckless adventure, where she is a cool, wary balance to Safi’s hotheaded impulsiveness.
Safi and Iseult just want to be free to live their own lives, but war is coming to the Witchlands. With the help of the cunning Prince Merik (a Windwitch and ship’s captain) and the hindrance of a Bloodwitch bent on revenge, the friends must fight emperors, princes, and mercenaries alike, who will stop at nothing to get their hands on a Truthwitch.

Susan Dennard has come a long way from small-town Georgia. As a marine biologist, she got to travel the world—six out of seven continents, to be exact (she’ll get to Asia one of these days!)—before she settled down as a full-time novelist and writing instructor.

She is the author of the Something Strange and Deadly series as well as the forthcoming Witchlands series (Tor, 2015), and when not writing, she can be found hiking with her dogs, exploring tidal pools, or earning bruises at the dojo.

She lives in the Midwestern US with her French husband and Irish setter, and you can learn more about her crazy thoughts and crippling cookie-addiction on her blog, newsletter, Twitter, Facebook, or Pinterest

What do you guys think of Truthwitch? Have you seen this? And are you also dying for Merik like I am?
