ALA Midwinter Plan

Alright, I've researched and thought long and hard about this!! I can do this. Hopefully I'm ready to kick some butt!!

As this is my first book event, I wanted to come prepared for it. I feel pretty certain as what to expect. But knowing me, my mind will probably go overboard and forget the plan. I will try to be calm about this!!

But I can't until I walk into the exhibit room for the first time!!

I'll probably be like this...

Then I'll start running around like a maniac...

And by the end...

My Daily Routine (For Sat, Sun, and Mon)

Plan A (My mom drives me to bus stop)
Wake Up: 6:30am
Mom drives me to bus stop: 7:30am
Arrive at bus stop: 7:50am
Arrive at McCormick Place: Around 8:20am
Register and Get My Badge: 8:25am
Leave for Home: (Sat, Sun) 4:30pm, (Mon) 1:30pm

Backup  Plan (In case my mom can't drive me)
Wake Up: 6:30am
Leave to first bus: 7:20am
Arrive at McCormick Place: Around 8:30am
Register and Get My Badge: 8:35am
Leave for Home: (Sat, Sun) 4:30pm, (Mon) 1:30pm

Plan B (My dad drive me)
Wake Up: 6:30am
Dad drives me: 8:00am
Arrive at McCormick Place: 8:20am
Register and Get My Badge: 8:26am
Leave for Home: (Sat, Sun) 4:30pm, (Mon) 1:30pm

I know you're all thinking.. "Why is she arriving 30 minutes early when the exhibits open at 9:00am?" Well I'm glad you asked!!

I may live in Chicago but I've never been to McCormick Place. Only once when I graduated high school. But that was in another building. McCormick has a North, South, West, and East building. And I have no idea where the bus is going to drop me off.

I'm guessing and hoping that it's the West building because I checked google maps but I don't want to depend on that. I want to be ready when those exhibit doors open!!

Also I have no idea how long the lines will be to get my badge. I registered in advance so it should go a bit faster I hope.

As of August 2015, A Reader Under The Sea is an award-free blog. I appreciate it that you want to award me with something :)
